Shark Keynote or Power Point Assignment
Students will create a Power Point or Keynote Presentation illustrating different species of sharks. They will also include 3 things/Facts they learned about each shark. Slide Show Must contain a Table of Contents and a Title Page. They may choose 13 sharks from the chart below:
Solar System Power Point/Keynote
Students will create a Slideshow of Our Solar System. Slideshow must include a Title page, Table of Contents, the sun, all nine planets, and the Asteroid Belt. Each slide must contain 3 Facts. See the order below:
WV Birds Keynote or Power Point Assignment
Students will create a Keynote Presentation of WV Birds. They will also include 3 things/facts they learned about each Bird. There must be a Title Page and a Table of Contents Included. The following 10 Birds will be used in their Presentation:

WV Leaf Power Point or Keynote Assignment
Students in Grades 3-5 will create a Power Point containing slides for each of the Leaves found from Trees located in the state of West Virginina.
Dinosaur Power Point or Keynote
Students will create a Power Point or Keynote Presentation illustrating different species of Dinosaurs. Each Slide will include 3 things/Facts they learned about each . Slide Show Must contain a Table of Contents and a Title Page. They may choose 13 Dinosaurs from the chart below:
Geographic Features - Use Google Earth and Locate some Geographic Features. Then, use a snipping tool and copy and paste them to make a Power Point, Keynote or other App Presentation. Be sure to label them.

Tombstone Epitaph Assignment: Read about Gravestone Epitaphs in the 2 links below and then create a tombstone using TOMBSTONE GENERATOR for a make believe person and include an eptitaph. You need to include the same information as the sample Tombstone below for Joseph Manfritz.

Power Point to JPEG Scary Scene You are going to create a spooky picture. Look at the images from below, and then select one you like best. Next, right click on it and copy it. Then, past the image onto a Blank Power Point Slide. Resize the image so that it takes up the whole slide. Then, search for spooky characters like: Vampires, Ghosts, Skeletons, Zombies, etc. on Google Images. Copy and paste them onto your Power Point spooky background. Then, double click image you pasted. Then, click remove background button at the top far left of your Power Point Tool bar. Then, Insert a text box and type your name on your picture. Only when you are completely finished, when you go to save the file change the file extension drop down to a JPEG File and save the file name as follows:

1. Title Slide - Must have Title, Your Name and at least one picture.
2. Table of Contents - We will do this slide together, but go ahead and have it ready with the title.
3. General information - General information about the Spider and a picture.
4. Physical Features - Descriptions of what the spider looks like on the outside of its body. Also, you must have a diagram showing the outside parts of the spider. You can search for "Tarantula diagram."
5. Anatomy - Paragraph about the spiders internal "inside parts." You will want to search for "Tarantula Anatomy" and include a picture that shows their inside body parts like their heart, stomach, lungs, etc. Try search key words: Tarantula anatomy, lungs, heart
6. Behavior - must have a paragraph about their behavior and a picture to go with it.
7. Life Cycle - must have paragraph about their life cycle including: birth mating, eggs, molting, etc. Try searching: tarantula life cycle.
8. Range - Range is where they live. You must have a paragraph about where they live. Include a picture of the continent and country.
9. Diet - Include a paragraph about what they eat. Must have pictures of at least 3 things these spiders eat. Search: What do Rose Hair Tarantulas eat?
10. Habitat - Habitat is they type of environment they live in. For example: desert, ocean, forest, jungle, etc. Include a paragraph about what kind of habitat they live in and a picture to illustrate this.
11. Fun Facts - Must have a paragraph or listing of some fun facts.

Graphing
Assignment # 1: You are going to create a curve ART work using straight lines, a single quadrant graph, and Microsoft Paint. Download the file below and then open it using Microsoft Paint. Then click on the line in shapes tool in the tool bar then change the line size to the third thickness. Starting at the top connect 25 to 1 at the bottom, 24 to 2, 23 to 3 etc. Should look like the picture shown to the right. Use any color you like. Don't forget to put your name with the text tool.

Assignment # 2 (harder) Try the four quadrant graph art below. You can see that I messed up on the bottom right side. See if you can do better than I did.

Mario Pixel Art!
Download and save the the graph file image below and open it using Microsoft Paint. Then use the bucket tool and whatever colors you wish to fill in squares to create a Mario Pixel Art. You can also add extra things in your picture like pipes, flowers , etc. or even create your own picture all together. Have fun. Don't forget to put your name on it.
